Fire in Kierberg
The food burned on the stove
Brühl-Kierberg (mm). In the apartment of a senior citizen, the food on the stove had burned unnoticed and when the fire brigade arrived, the entire apartment was already densely filled with smoke over two floors.
The 87-year-old disabled woman was very lucky, because the neighbor helped her to leave the apartment. Both were taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation.
The Brühl fire brigade and rescue service were in action with 25 forces under the command of Chief Fire Officer Peter Berg, the fire was extinguished, the apartment was cleared of smoke and after an hour the fire brigade was able to move away again.
