Bekanntlich bieten wir unser Haus im Internet zum Verkauf und erhalten da so manche Antwort die zu deutlicher Erheiterung führt - wie die folgende:

My name is Tom Hanks........., an Assistant Station Manager Reserve with Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces. I was recently redeployed to Afghanistan, at the Red Cross station in Bagram Air Field. My first deployment to Bagram Air Field was in March 23 2010. My job is to bring some comfort to the service members and also connect soldiers with their families during emergencies. We also work to provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

On 19th February this year, a United States NATO soldier came to me and gave me a safe which contains (8 million Euro) and asked me to keep it secured, and that he will come back in 3 days to pick it up. At the first instance, I declined keeping the safe for him, but when he assured me he was coming back to get it in 3 days i agreed to keep it for him. However, unfortunately, he did not come back after the three days. When I waited for two (2) weeks and he did not come, I inquired after him and was told that he was shot on 1st March, 2011 while travelling in a vehicle with another soldiers through the upper part of Kabul during an overnight offence by Afghan forces. He brought the safe and its content to me on February19th and was shot dead on March 01, 2012. After his death, i kept the money away safely and waited to see if anyone will come asking for it, but no one came.

Now, therefore, my reason for writing/contacting you is to gain your kind permission and acceptance to receive this money on my behalf in your country for investment until i am able to come over. It is from this money that i will pay for the property that i intend to buy from you.

Die Absicht ist ziemlich klar - man wird mit viel Geld geködert das einem (meist über Western Union) überwiesen werden soll und muß aber eine meist 3-4-stellige Summe zahlen für irgendwelche Gebühren die angeblich anfallen.
Das Geld trifft tatsächlich ein, man überweist die Gebühren - das Geld wird nach kurzer Zeit zurückgeholt; die "Gebühren" sind futsch.

Wieder mal "Gier frisst Hirn"...

Nicht ganz so harmlos ist die hier beschriebene, unter dem Begriff "rip deal" bekannte Masche: Wer drauf eingeht kann Kopf und Kragen riskieren!
Ich habe selbst schon so einen Anruf aus Italien erhalten.
